If this sounds like you ....YOU are the Product Manager we seek! As a Product Manager you will successfully drive exciting & stylish products from concept to commercialization. How will you do this? Through product sourcing, product quality and timely delivery.

MERCHANDISING AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

  • Analyze and Identify product assortment needs for buying trips and development
  • Identify trends, looks and product types that will help the business grow through competitive shopping, attending relevant trade shows and market research
  • Send product developments to vendors and review with creative and design teams
  • Present and prepare final line reviews to executive management
  • Adhere to collection time in action calendar and ensure milestone dates are met
  • Act as an information resource about products for internal departments

SOURCING AND PRODUCTION

  • Manage assigned product collection and act as primary contact for vendors
  • Place initial orders and sample orders for new line items in accordance with target delivery dates
  • Develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles in production 
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Department and Inventory Management to ensure merchandise meets company quality standards and delivery dates

CATALOG PRODUCTION

  • Collaborate with Inventory Management in line and repeat item selection for the collection
  • Provide contact sheets and copy for catalog production
  • Proof catalogs for assigned collections

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in buying, product development or sourcing.  Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of a development cycle
  • Analytical, detail oriented, self-starter
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced working in Excel, knowledge of FileMaker and AS400 systems a plus
